What’s in a name? Karakoyun means black sheep in Turkish, and is also my family name. In the English language, black sheep is an idiom used to describe an odd or disreputable member of a group, especially within a family.

In our globally connected world, social movements start with the dissenters, those who are willing to fight against the status quo, talk about ideas considered unpopular by working to make them commonplace.
